SSEAYP INTERNATIONAL BRUNEI [ BERSATU ]

EID GREETING 2008

October 4, 2008

by President of SSEAYP International Brunei

I would like to thank BERSATU Web Team for once again providing me the opportunity to convey Hari Raya greetings to members of  SSEAYP International Brunei, SSEAYP International in ASEAN Countries and Japan and to all the people of Brunei Darussalam.

Hari Raya, of course, marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, the holiest period of the Islamic year.  It is a time when Muslims everywhere, give thanks for the blessing of renewed faith, perform acts of charity for the less fortunate, and share traditional food and good wishes with their families and friends.  It is my fervent wish that the good will and compassion that mark the month of Ramadan will persist in the coming year, and lead to a renewed commitment for us all to work together for a world of tolerance, freedom, and peace for people of all religions and all nationalities.

In that spirit, on behalf of SSEAYP Intenational Brunei, ex-participants of SSEAYP and the people of Brunei Darussalam, I would like to extend my best wishes for the blessings of health and prosperity to all alumnus and to all our  friends in ASEAN Countries and Japan.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil...

[SSEAYPBrunei] Local youth awares of BERSATU existence....

May 23, 2008

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Monday, May 19, 2008

YOUTH organisations need to make themselves more known if they wish to gain more members, said several youths in the country.

Lina, 14, is currently in Secondary Three in a public school. When asked about youth associations in Brunei, she was surprised that there are any. She did say that she was aware of youth organisations like the Southeast Asian Youth Programme (SSEAYP) which many Bruneians become involved with.
